A Small Desire (2026)

A Kashmiri woman narrates her lifelong negotiation with fear, curfews, and gendered restriction, her voice layered over landscapes and nocturnal glimpses of men claiming public space. Through this intimate testimony, the documentary examines how the smallest personal desires — to walk freely, to exist without surveillance — expose the vast structural inequalities that shape women's freedom in a contested region.
