Shiv Rawail's Alpha (2026) arrives with the weight of a blockbuster pedigree, boasting one of the most stacked casts in recent Indian cinema history. However, despite the sheer star power of Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, and Bobby Deol, the execution often feels like a race between two different movies: one a gritty, character-driven drama, and the other a glossy, high-budget spectacle.

The narrative centers on Sita, an assassin raised in isolation, a premise that initially feels fresh but quickly leans into familiar tropes of the "super-soldier seeking redemption." Rawail's direction is undeniably confident in the action sequences, particularly the close-quarters combat choreography. Yet, the film's 141-minute runtime suffers from pacing issues.
