Broke college student Russell (Daniel Doheny) accepts a high-paying research position from eccentric poodle breeder Patti (Dot-Marie Jones) at her isolated ranch. The job seems simple: document breeding data and collect genetic samples. But as Russell settles into the routine, he notices oddities — strict schedules, locked facilities, and the unsettling perfection of Patti's prize dogs.

When Russell's girlfriend Ainsley (Maddie Phillips) grows concerned about his silence, she begins her own investigation, uncovering a history of missing persons linked to the ranch. As the two threads converge, Russell realizes Patti's quest for the "perfect" specimen has expanded beyond canines — and he may be the next subject in her controlled lineage.
