Buddy (2026)

Grace, a desperate mother, drags her daughter Freddy into the colorful, surreal world of "It's Buddy!," a children's television show that promises endless joy and life lessons. The show is fronted by Buddy, a bright orange unicorn voiced by Keegan-Michael Key, who leads a cast of quirky characters including a train named Charlie and a mailbox named Mr. Mailbox. The world is designed to be perfect, a place where nothing goes wrong and everyone sings in harmony.

However, the utopia begins to fracture when Freddy, overwhelmed by the forced happiness and artificiality, refuses to participate in the show's rituals. As the only child who sees through the facade, her resistance triggers a catastrophic breakdown in the show's reality. Buddy's cheerful demeanor begins to crack, revealing a darker, more violent entity beneath the fur as the set transforms from a safe haven into a terrifying prison where the rules of the game are no longer for fun, but for survival.
