Synopsis

In 1990s Kenya, as the AIDS epidemic ravages communities across East Africa, an Irish journalist (Charlie Carrick) forms an unlikely partnership with Queen (Eliane Umuhire), a Rwandan woman navigating the aftermath of genocide and the crisis at her doorstep. Together, they confront bureaucratic indifference, cultural barriers, and their own prejudices while attempting to bring treatment and dignity to those abandoned by the world's attention.

The film follows their evolving friendship across clinics, villages, and corridors of power, framing the pandemic not as backdrop but as a test of what solidarity looks like when survival is daily negotiated.
