Don't Let The Bastards Grind You Down (2026)

Documentary filmmaker Christoph Farwig examines the ongoing resistance to neoliberal austerity in Britain, tracing its roots to the Thatcher government's policies. The film follows three parallel struggles: a Trade Unionist & Socialist Coalition election campaign in the former mining community of Nuneaton, student activism against rising tuition fees, and Birmingham refuse workers striking against significant wage reductions.

Featuring former socialist MP Dave Nellist and Socialist Party general secretary Hannah Sell alongside rank-and-file activists and workers, the documentary offers an on-the-ground view of contemporary left-wing organizing in the UK.
