Eetha (2026)

In 20th-century Maharashtra, Vithabai Narayangaonkar (Shraddha Kapoor) emerges from poverty to become a legendary Tamasha and Lavani performer — a folk theatre form blending dance, music, and sharp social satire. As she navigates the itinerant troupe life, patriarchal gatekeepers, and the shifting politics of performance, her art becomes both a livelihood and a quiet rebellion.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and written by Kshitij Patwardhan, the film traces her journey through the lens of a tradition that gave voice to rural women long before mainstream cinema did.
