Synopsis
On a windswept Guernsey coastline, a woman performs the simple act of washing and drying a traditional fisherman's jumper. As water saturates the wool and wind pulls at the damp fabric, the camera draws close to the garment's intricate stitch patterns — each motif a coded reference to the island's maritime heritage, its cliffs, its nets, its families.
Without narration or interview, the film lets the ritual unfold in real time, transforming a domestic chore into a meditation on how objects carry collective memory. The jumper becomes a map, the drying line a horizon, and the woman's hands the keepers of an unspoken language woven over generations.
