Synopsis
Impulsive teenager Billie Doe (Hailee Steinfeld) discovers she possesses latent magical abilities that violently manifest, pulling her from her ordinary suburban life into Hexe — a sprawling, fantastical realm governed by witches. There, she learns her family history is far more entwined with this world than she knew. Forced into an uneasy partnership with her cautious, secret-keeping mother Alice (Rashida Jones), Billie must navigate dazzling but dangerous landscapes, eccentric magical factions, and a looming threat that could alter the balance of power in Hexe forever.
As mother and daughter clash over trust, independence, and the weight of legacy, they uncover buried truths about their lineage that force both to reconsider what they thought they knew about each other — and about the nature of magic itself.
