Synopsis

In Emptinesse There is No Form follows a descent into a mine originally constructed during the communist period, using the subterranean journey as an inverted mirror of Plato's cave allegory. Rather than ascending toward ideal forms, the film moves deeper into material reality — where geological time, industrial machinery, histories of collective labor, and something harder to name (spirit? energy? memory?) intersect and accelerate.

Presented as a series of cinematic movements without conventional narrative or characters, the 15-minute work positions itself as a meditation on what energy looks like during an era of transition — from fossil to renewable, from planned to market economies, from collective to individualized experience. The mine becomes a convergence point: a site where past and future energies collide in the dark.
