Synopsis
Jimmy (2026) dramatizes the life of James Stewart, tracing his journey from small-town Pennsylvania to Hollywood stardom, with particular focus on his World War II service as a bomber pilot and the personal crisis that followed. The film centers on Stewart's return to civilian life and the making of the film that would redefine his career — and, as the tagline suggests, save him.
Along the way, it stages his collisions with studio chief Louis B. Mayer, his creative partnership with Frank Capra, the scrutiny of gossip columnist Hedda Hopper, and the quiet anchor of his marriage to Gloria. The narrative weaves between wartime flashbacks and postwar reckoning, framing Stewart's struggle to reconcile the roles he played with the man he became.
