Loulou (2026)

Eight-year-old Sam, reeling from his father's death, spots a butterfly struggling in a lake. He rescues it, names it LouLou, and pours his grief into keeping the fragile creature alive. As the butterfly's condition fluctuates, Sam cycles through desperate measures to sustain it — a child's instinct to fix what cannot be fixed.

Without dialogue, the short follows their brief, intense companionship across days that feel like seasons, building toward a moment where holding on and letting go become indistinguishable.
