Synopsis

In 1914 Bologna, the five Maserati brothers — Alfieri, Bindo, Ernesto, Ettore, and Mario — transform their family's spark-plug workshop into a fledgling racing-car manufacturer. As their engines begin to win on European circuits, they attract the attention of deep-pocketed investors and ruthless rivals, including a young Enzo Ferrari and the ambitious Ferruccio Lamborghini. With financial pressures mounting and personal tragedies striking the family, the brothers must decide whether to protect their independence or sell their name to survive.

The film spans three decades, tracing the marque's evolution from hand-built race cars to a symbol of Italian luxury, while weaving in the intersecting ambitions of the men who financed, competed against, and ultimately reshaped the Maserati legacy.
