Sang-hee, a filmmaker, returns to Jeju Island after ten years to visit her mother, whose restaurant has unexpectedly become a local hit. Accompanied by her brother, she navigates the complex dynamic of a household that includes her mother's new partner and a younger half-sibling.
The visit is marked by the stepfather's eccentric project filming a "grass tomb" and the daughter's sudden foray into painting. As the family exchanges observations, advice, and superficial praise, the tension of their separation hangs in the air, culminating in a quiet moment on the morning of Sang-hee's departure where the family watches one of her own films together.
