Edgar
When 12-year-old Lou's life takes a chaotic turn, her father Edgar reveals himself to be a bankrupt, narcissistic artist with a desperate plan. Facing financial ruin, Edgar concocts the morbid scheme of faking his own death to secure a payout and solve his monetary problems, dragging his unsuspecting daughter into the center of his absurd deception.
As the plan unfolds in their German hometown, Lou must navigate the bizarre logistics of her father's "death" while trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy in a household spiraling into madness. The film explores the lengths a parent will go to for self-preservation and the psychological toll it takes on the child left to clean up the mess.
