Primetime Preacher$ (2026)

Primetime Preacher$ examines the 1980s rise of three dominant televangelists who transformed Christian broadcasting from a fringe enterprise into a political kingmaking machine. Through archival footage and contemporary analysis, the documentary traces how televised ministry pioneered direct-mail fundraising, satellite distribution, and voter mobilization techniques that reshaped the Republican Party and embedded evangelical influence into the infrastructure of American power.

The film connects the studio sets and telephone banks of the PTL Club, The 700 Club, and similar operations to the electoral strategies that delivered the White House to Ronald Reagan and established a playbook still in use today.
