Rusty Horse (2026)

After his Vietnamese girlfriend Mai dies by suicide, Mark (Liam Hutchinson) becomes fixicated on understanding her final words: "Anh yêu em." He seeks out a therapist (Ferdinand Hoang) who speaks Vietnamese, hoping translation will bring closure. As sessions unfold, memories of their relationship surface in fragments — tender, ordinary, haunted — blurring the line between healing and obsession.

In just seven minutes, the film explores how grief fractures language, memory, and identity, asking whether understanding the words can ever ease the weight of what they meant.
