Filmed across Australia and Italy, Sand Roads follows four friends — Vittoria, Jamie, Valerio, and Kris — across two distinct chapters of their lives. The first captures their youth: unrestrained, adventurous, defined by movement and the landscapes they traverse together. The second revisits them in adulthood, where the same bonds are tested by time, distance, and the quiet accumulations of responsibility. Structured as a diptych, the documentary observes how shared history can both anchor and complicate the paths people take.
