Some Other Place (2026)

Esther returns to her rural Utah hometown with a single, high-stakes goal: break into her estranged parents' house and retrieve the identifying documents she needs to legally change her name and gender before new legislation makes it impossible. She enlists Markus, her oldest friend and only remaining ally in town, to help her navigate the break-in. As the night unfolds, the simple heist complicates — old tensions resurface, Markus's motivations blur, and Esther confronts the reality that escaping this place may cost more than she planned.
