Synopsis
When Sarah Leavitt (Abbi Jacobson) fled her conservative hometown, she thought she'd escaped her family's chaos. But as her mother Midge (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) begins showing signs of early-onset Alzheimer's, Sarah returns to a household ruled by her gruff father Rob (Bryan Cranston) and a chorus of opinionated relatives. As Midge's vibrant personality unravels, Sarah must navigate the brutal realities of caregiving while confronting the imperfect love that binds them.
Rendered in a raw, hand-drawn animation style, Tangles explores memory, identity, and the messy devotion of family through an unflinching adult lens.
