Synopsis
Twenty‑four years before Katniss Everdeen volunteers as tribute, Panem prepares for the 50th Hunger Games — a Second Quarter Quell that doubles the number of tributes. The story follows a young Haymitch Abernathy as he navigates the reaping, the Capitol’s political games, and the brutal arena that will shape his future.
Alongside him, familiar faces such as a calculating President Snow, a scheming Plutarch Heavensbee, and a charismatic Caesar Flickerman maneuver behind the scenes, while new tributes like Maysilee Donner and Lenore Dove Baird fight for survival.
