The Potentials (2026)

Teruichi Tsuchiya, a 42‑year‑old assistant to a legendary manga creator, faces the end of a 17‑year series and the uncertainty of a new project. He is joined by editor Yuki Shioda, who questions his passion, and rookie assistant Potato Yamada, whose boldness clashes with Teruichi’s routine. As personal tensions with his estranged wife and teenage daughter mount, Teruichi must decide whether to embrace change or remain in the shadows of his mentor.
