Tomorrow a Long Time Ago (2026)

In 1990, as Germany reunifies, 50‑year‑old Patty loses her factory job and soon after her close friend Jelena. Alone in a small East German town, she begins collecting discarded objects, filling her apartment until she can no longer enter it. She meets Franz, a younger man who offers quiet companionship, and eventually ventures into a vivid forest that seems to hold the region’s layered history.

The film follows Patty’s physical and emotional journey through landscapes that mirror a society in transition, blending personal grief with the collective upheaval of a disappearing world.
