Tony (2026)

"I was — to be frank — a spoiled, miserable, narcissistic, self-destructive and thoughtless young lout, and badly in need of a good ass-kicking."

Synopsis

In the sweltering heat of a Provincetown summer, a 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain arrives with nothing but a passport and a head full of bad ideas. Far from the polished travelogue host the world will eventually know, this Anthony is a raw, unfiltered mess of ego and insecurity, stumbling into a chaotic restaurant kitchen that serves as the perfect petri dish for his self-destruction.

Surrounded by a motley crew of eccentric cooks and overwhelmed by the brutal reality of the culinary trade, Anthony must navigate not only the physical demands of the job but also his own deteriorating relationships and internal demons. As the summer unfolds, the line between his personal life and professional ambition blurs, forcing him to confront whether he is capable of evolving or if he is destined to remain a permanent fixture of the kitchen's underbelly.
